Welcome to Tayside KTP Centre

The Tayside KTP Centre was established in 2004 to promote and develop Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (formerly TCS) and provide support to project participants. The Centre works with universities, colleges, and research organisations (the Knowledge Base Partners) in Tayside including:

  • the Universities of Dundee and Abertay Dundee,
  • The James Hutton Institute,
  • and Angus, Dundee and Perth Colleges.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships enable the transfer of knowledge between businesses and universities, colleges, or research organisations. They are Government funded and aim to strengthen the productivity, competitiveness, wealth creation and economic performance of the UK. They also enhance knowledge and skills within UK businesses and stimulate innovation through collaborative partnerships between businesses and the knowledge base.

Staff at the Tayside KTP Centre work with companies and academics with the right expertise to develop a project plan which allows the company to draw on the expertise of the Knowledge Base Partner. The Centre will help with the recruitment of a suitable associate who is based at the business to implement the agreed project plan.
